Elixius Wooden made leather, rather than "wooden" shoes, and did a thriving business in the 1830's. Tinsmith John Nutting Farrar lived here, and it remained a residence for nearly a century, until returned to use as a shop in 1963.  Next Stop: Hine-Fowler House
